1066 Racing Summer Membership 2025

1066 Racing Summer Membership saves you money on race fees AND allows you to practice WHENEVER* you like at our fantastic astroturf track at St Mary's Lane Recreation Ground, Bexhill on Sea! PLEASE READ ALL RULES BELOW.

For 2025 the summer membership fee remains at £45 for adults (U16 half price, child of an adult member FREE!), but the track is open a lot earlier...in 2024 it didn't open until the 24th of June.

If you DO NOT hold a summer membership you CANNOT use the track outside organised race meetings.

Your Summer Membership includes:

1 Free entry to ANY official practice meeting, (usually Tuesday night) as often as you want (£8 for non-members)
2 Race fees on Sunday discounted to £12 (£14 for non-members)
3 AND permission to use the track whenever* you want for practice/testing.

*Access only permitted 0900-2000 / sunset, no practicing while cricket matches are PLAYED on Saturdays usually between 1300 and 1830, before or after is OK.

Only 1/10th scale electric powered cars are permitted. Absolutely no IC / nitro cars permitted at any time. Use of a nitro car is an immediate ban from the club.

Example of savings for your £45 membership:

This Summer there are potentially 12 Sunday club meetings and 22 Tuesday evening practice sessions. (Weather permitting)

Attending just SIX Tuesday night practice sessions makes the licence route cheaper.

If you attended every race and practice session you'd save £200 on entry fees making the licence route cheaper.

If you attended just half the sessions you'd save £100 on entry fees making the licence route cheaper...

But best of all holding a summer membership means you can use the track whenever* you want for private testing or practice. For this you'll park in the car park and walk 50m to the track, while for race meetings and official practice nights we'll park trackside.

AGAIN...If you DO NOT hold a summer membership you CANNOT use the track outside organised race meetings.

Notes / Rules:

You must already be a member of the BRCA to hold a summer membership. This provides you with public liability insurance.

Please keep all noise to a minimum when arriving and leaving, we want to keep our neighbours happy! No loud engines, music, talking at gates please, especially on arrival in morning.

Absolutely no litter whatsoever to be dropped or left on site. Please take everything home with you.

ALWAYS be polite to any members of the public, whether they support our activity or not. Refer any issues to a committee member.

Toilets: On big race days we will be able to use the cricket club toilets. Otherwise please cross the road by car park entrance and use the toilet building directly ahead of you as you enter the cemetery. It goes without saying to be respectful in this location at all times. We have the permission of Rother District Council for this.

Should a dog end up on track by whatever means at any time all driving will pause immediately. Assist the owner in removal of said dog in a polite manner!

You are representing 1066 Racing when using the track. Do the club proud whatever the circumstances! : )
